Hudson Industries SS63671 The Trim Sleeper Pillow Review

This pillow is highly effective. As any stomach sleeper knows, a good flat pillow is difficult to find. Personally, I made do with my husband's old pillows when he wore them out--not the best scenario. It's a gift to find my own pillow. However--and this is a *big* however--be prepared to make your own pillowcase (or have it made).

This is *not* a standard size of pillow due to it being about 24 inches long--if one includes half the sides--instead of the standard 20-21 inches. (Width is about 30 inches). If forced into a standard or king-sized pillowcase, the pillow bows in the middle, which defeats its primary purpose of flatness.

There is no pillowcase available commercially to fit this pillow; I have checked multiple retailers and sites. In addition, the pillow itself does not have a removable outer cover (no zipper or anything of that sort).

The manufacturer needs to also make corresponding pillowcases or, at the least, make this pillow available in a more standard size.

If you're curious, I see the problem with the measurements. For a standard pillow, the pillow is not a cube; it has seams instead of sides so that the pillow shape is an ellipse. This pillow has distinctive sides: a rectangle for the top and bottom buttressed by a three-inch strip between them for a shallow cube effect. When a normal pillow manufacturer calls the pillow 20 inches, it is from seam to seam. This pillow is also 20 inches across, but there are six unaccounted-for inches because of the sides. Hence it cannot fit into a standard or king-sized pillowcase.
