Please see the customer images I added to this listing. The item of most importance to me is to convey just how different the product image is in color as to the real thing. I would even accuse my camera of showing too much color, but even then the difference is quite noticeable.

As soon as I got this set I noticed one mighty problem. Where's the brown??! I'd almost call the light brown squares slate. It's clear that the original product picture was taken in unrealistic lighting with one of those cameras that makes all the supermodels look great. Even in direct sunlight there was no getting around the fact that my set looked anemic and washed out! In addition the seams of the very thin fabric holding the bed-skirt material as one piece rips with but a gentle tug. The bed-skirt material itself is thick, but if you step on it, don't expect the connecting fabric to hold. Finally, the silky type of material used on the underside of the comforter is nice and soft, but tends to cause the comforter to slide in directions you didn't intend, like off the bed. Although, in all fairness, it has been a decade or two since I have purchased a new comforter.

I also didn't know what micro-suede meant. Which is apparently: somewhat soft flat fabric. By the picture you'd think this thing was as fuzzy as a newborn panda. In my ignorance I also assumed that the included picture was for a king bed, because that was what I was purchasing. I now realize it was probably a generic picture. Nonetheless, my comforter barely gets to the bed-skirt on all sides. If the original picture is for a king, it's on a twin bed to reach the floor like that!

I realize I am being picky mind you, but with an investment like this, you want to make sure you understand all of the ramifications. My wife and I decided that in spite of the color problems, this set was still fairly nice and probably the only tame and acceptable look for our part wood finished with lots of brown home. But I am left to wonder if, knowing what we do now, we'd still have chosen this investment.

There are some pros. The comforter fabric, in spite of not being super fuzzy, seems very durable. Also the matching pillows, as useless as they are, are pretty cute.
