I must say, I was a little hesitant to spent my hard earned textbook trade-in credit for bedding that may or may not be worth it...even at this steal of a price! I took the risk...and the risk paid off!!!

Despite the item saying "1000 Thread Count Egyptian Duvet Cover" it came in packaging that said "1200". And it does in fact feel quite soft...and thick. So I am inclined to say it is actually 1200 thread count. And can I just say...OH MY GOODNESS IT IS SOFT. Kind of like the way your favorite flannel pajamas feel after you've broken them in. That's how this duvet cover felt after unpacking and washing it. Slept under it for the first time last night (after it arrived just hours before...couldn't help myself it felt so soft!). I also bought the sheet set to go along with it, it's mentioned as 1200 thread count but also came at a higher thread count...packaging said 1500 thread count and it's even softer than the duvet cover so again, I think it's right.

Yes, the material is a little thinner than my Martha Stewart or Ralph Lauren bedding. But my god, it's so soft. And at a SMALL fraction of the price, why not?? If you're not hung up on the fact that this isn't some fancy designer brand or are a person who loves a good bargain I don't see why you wouldn't love this product. I plan to combine these with a beautiful paisley duvet cover and various pillow cases I found...alternating duvet covers. Again, I can't tell you enough...they're made fairly well as far as I can tell without the experience of owning it a long time and it's so soft and comfortable. You really can't go wrong here. I'll probably buy several more bedding items (I love to alternate the look and feel of my bedding and make my bedroom feel brand new quite often).

I guess what they say is true...take a risk and it can really pay off!
