I bought a day bed from IKEA but the twin mattress wasn't the normal thickness. (SULTAN FLORV�G foam mattress 74 3/8 " x 38 1/4 " Thickness: 3 7/8 ") After researching it on line, this was the closest thinness I found. It fits quiet snug so I washed it and dried it in hot air cycle. It shrunk to fit much better. This probably won't fit the regular twin mattress. Only disappointment with the cover is that it's not white like the picture online. It's more like burlap, very dark yellowy beige.
